Everything from a logo, design, communication, website, product, customer service, and then more, creates an emotion within each consumer that allows them to perceive that brand in a specific way. If the consumer reaches a point where they like and feel comfortable enough to trust that brand, then it\u2019s very likely they will buy that product\/service. Therefore, how that brand communicates and connects with their consumers can make or break that brand&#8217;s image.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section post-body\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>However, sometimes it\u2019s not easy to determine how consumers will respond to a campaign. For example, Trump\u2019s recent Presidency announcement followed by his views of Mexican immigrants and border protection, seemed to have created two very split sides within consumers and brands.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On one hand, many didn\u2019t take his comments lightly and were insulted stating it was a \u201cblatantly disrespectful statement against Mexicans\u201d. \u00a0Quickly social media users took a stand by using the hashtag #dumptrump.\u00a0 Many mocked photos of his suits, which ironically on the inside have both, his brand tag and the \u201cMade in Mexico\u201d tag. Houston-based\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/news\/entertainment\/06-30-15-in-hair-curling-move-houston-company-tells-donald-trump-youre-fired\/\">Farouk Systems<\/a>, a hair product supplier for Trump\u2019s Celebrity Apprentice\u00a0show, withdrew its sponsorship of the Miss USA, Miss Universe and Miss Teen USA pageants and said it\u00a0will have no further involvement with Trump. Brands such as Univision, NBC, and Macy\u2019s also announced dropping his brand from their company in support of their own brand reputation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hubfs\/434066\/images\/Blog_Images\/dumptrump-839630-edited.jpg?t=1479144923959\" alt=\"dumptrump-839630-edited\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is very likely these individuals saw inconsistency in his message. He spoke negative of Mexico, yet his suits are made in that country. *There were 55 million Hispanics living in the U.S. in 2014 with an expected buying power of $1.5 trillion by end of 2015. Hispanics are on a growth streak and they will continue to see growth in the near future. Trump clearly didn\u2019t take this fact into consideration, neither the feelings of many of his current Hispanic customers. \u00a0Although all might not be Mexicans, many Hispanics and Non-Hispanics are still taking a very strong stand against his comments and are choosing to no longer support his brand or his candidacy.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the negative publicity, there are still large groups of individuals in support of what he said and are actually ready to vote for Trump.\u00a0 According to <a href=\"http:\/\/mediamatters.org\/research\/2015\/06\/30\/fox-news-rallies-to-defend-donald-trump-after-n\/204207\" target=\"_blank\">Media Matters for America<\/a>, an article on their site states that Fox News rallies to defend Donald Trump after NBC announces split. Journalist like Sean Hannity, Bill O\u2019Reilly, and Megyn Kelly, all took a positive stand defending Trump\u2019s characterization of immigrants. Regarding the Presidency,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2015\/07\/01\/politics\/donald-trump-poll-hillary-clinton-jeb-bush\/\" target=\"_blank\">CNN\/ORC poll<\/a>\u00a0showed Trump had 12 percent of the vote among Republicans and Republican-leaners, second only to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who earned 19 percent.\u00a0 Although, many are still skeptical that this will have any real traction as other candidates join.<\/p>\n<p>Many social media users also responded in his support, using hashtag #MakeAmericaGreatAgain, posting statements like \u201c@overpasses4America Take note America. You just may be looking at a future president.\u201d And some very disturbing ones like \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/_M__D__S_\">@_M__D__S_\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0I almost just killed an illegal Mexican on the lawnmower\u2026 driving it down the road like a car&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"illustration-with-American-flag-and-New-Yor-City-skyline\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=701&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=351&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg 351w, https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=701&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg 701w, https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=1052&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg 1052w, https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=1402&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg 1402w, https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=1753&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg 1753w, https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hub\/434066\/hubfs\/images\/Blog_Images\/makeamericagreatagain.jpg?t=1479144923959&amp;width=2103&amp;name=makeamericagreatagain.jpg 2103w\" alt=\"illustration-with-American-flag-and-New-Yor-City-skyline\" width=\"701\" data-constrained=\"true\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is apparent that these individuals are united by the same perception as Trump &#8211; that the Mexican border issues are affecting this country. In their minds, Trump\u2019s way is the best way. It might have to do with Trump\u2019s strong Entrepreneurial background and how he has led many profitable businesses, creating a strong perception and trust in his capabilities to turn this country around. Some believe the statements were taken out of context and don\u2019t see any discriminatory actions against Mexicans.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"hs_cos_wrapper_post_body\" class=\"hs_cos_wrapper hs_cos_wrapper_meta_field hs_cos_wrapper_type_rich_text\" style=\"color: #f1592a;\" data-hs-cos-general-type=\"meta_field\" data-hs-cos-type=\"rich_text\">What are your views on this issue?
